Fantasy Filmmaker Draft
Deadline next week… turn in DVDs to Brian at the J.O.B.

Completed films will have no credits.  Those will be emailed to bestboye@gmail.com

Films should be exported in SD, 16×9 aspect ratio.  (even if shot in HD)

Please export as an MPG-2 and burn to a Data DVD.  This will allow easy assembly of the project.

At the JOB:  “Death of Hollywood” Screening, featuring several IFC members.

SATURDAY AT JOB (2/20)

7:00 PM

Premiere screening of the 2010 Fantasy Filmmaker Draft Project.

All 5 groups will be assembled into one project and we will see what happens.

$5 IFC Members  $8 for Non-Members

Actor’s Showcase – Feb 24th
Scene work.  IFC will assign pairs.  Sharon and Claudia will make Pairs, and then email you a 3-4 page side.
$5 entry fee for non-members.

PATS Seminar has MOVED LOCATIONS
SUNDAY     FEB 28, 2010

For a better venue, the professors at UMKC have offered up Room 109 of Haag Hall over our prior venue,
the ever familiar Westport Coffee House.

We will use the coffee house for a Sunday evening get together for faculty,
students, film commission members, IFC members, etc.

This seminar will teach entry level PA work and how to transition to higher paying gigs.

They also are willing to train local people as instructors, as a sort of Franchise.

Entry is $125, but you can get a $10 discount with your IFC membership.

ACTING FOR THE CAMERA
All day, 2-day workshop focuses on the actor’s craft in front of the camera. Emphasis is on technique, & performer believability; being “present” and “in the moment”.

The IFC has a fundraising event.  Running beer stand on July 16th at Lakeside Speedway.  We need 10 people.

There is a space on www.ifckc.com  for volunteer opportunities.

Fringe Festival this year may have a Shorts Program from IFC.  It’s in July, if you would like to be included, please talk to Matt or Brian.

Sharon W –  If you have a short film, family friendly, Heidi Bacon is doing a show on Channel 17 for Metropolitan Community College.  Contact Sharon.
