Weekly Meetings

Meetings are held at 7:30 p.m. every Wednesday at the Westport Coffee House, 4010 Pennsylvania, Kansas City, MO. Meetings are free to the public.

Vision

To provide a setting for education, artistic expression, networking, and the cooperative sharing of resources to anyone with an interest in film-making.

Mission

Promote regional independent film, video and media production within the community via education, celebration and collaboration.

History of the IFC

The Independent Filmmakers Coalition (IFC) was founded in 1993 by Kansas City-based professional and amateur filmmakers as an organization to support independent filmmakers.

The IFC hosts several events year-round including “One Night Stand” and the “Fantasy Film Maker Draft”.

Supported by volunteers, the IFC is a 501(c) not-for-profit organization located in the Kansas City, MO.

  1. Are there any other meeting times? Like during the daytime maybe?

    No…the only other meetings are those set up by individual projects. But the only IFC group meeting is on Weds nights at 7:30pm.

    Hopefully this new website will be the venue to seek out help and connections for those that can’t make it to the regular meetings. Keep coming back as this new site grows. I have plans for many other features to help filmmakers network with others and share their expertise as well.
